Class Policies:
· Sign ups will begin on August 14, 2008 at 7 pm for September, October, November & December classes.
· You may only sign up two people for each class/event (i.e. yourself & a friend)
· Class fee must be paid at time of registration.
· Telephone registrations will be held for payment for one week.
· Please get supply lists in advance. Most classes require some preparation.
· Please purchase supplies at our shop. (This helps if there is a cutting “oops” and you need more fabric!)
· 10% discount will be given on all fabrics, books, patterns, and notions for class projects.
· Class credit will be given if we are notified of cancellation at least ONE WEEK in advance. Sorry, NO REFUNDS.
· If class is full, please put your name on waiting list. *Waiting list people will be contacted first if class is repeated at a later time.
· If you like a class, but cannot make the time it is scheduled, please call to put your name on a waiting list specifying "different date".

One of a Kind Quilt —Use that wonderful 60-degree ruler to create this beautiful wallhanging that uses a stack-&-whack technique to build hexagonal blocks. French Braid Quilt —Familiar with log cabin quilts? Join us for this “strippy, two sided, log cabin with cornerstones” using graduated fabric color to create glowing effects. Butterfly Giggles —This wallhanging is from a wonderful new book from Debbie Maddy who also designed the popular Bali Sky pattern. There are no set in pieces and it works up quickly. Regular Classes & Workshops
Beginning Quilting —Come be a part of the quilting craze!! This class will introduce you to the basic techniques of quilting while creating 3 wonderful projects. Classes will include the safe and proper use of the rotary cutter (needed for nearly all quilting projects of today), and the construction of a Log Cabin Tabletopper, Ohio Star Pillow, and a Trip Around the World baby or lap-sized quilt. Introduction to Machine Quilting -This introductory class in Machine Quilting will teach you how to use your sewing machine to achieve beautiful results as an alternative to tying your quilts. The class will cover cross hatching, echoing, stippling, and other free motion techniques. Walking foot and darning (stippling) foot for your machine required. Quarter inch foot is helpful. If you need help in getting them, please let us know.

Halloween BOM — Back by popular demand! This 13 month Block of the Month quilt will be ready in time for next Halloween! There will be twelve easy 9” blocks surrounding a large center pumpkin block in this project. If you missed it years ago (2002-2003), here’s your opportunity. Designed by Valerie. Jenny Haskins BOM — Jenny Haskins is publishing a book, Her Heritage Quilt, in September. It contains all the designs for the quilt and involves several different techniques, which will provide a great learning vehicle for your machine embroidery. We would start the program in January. Anyone interested, please contact Helen.
Quilt Appraisal Day — Saturday, September 20, 2008 10-4. Lois Palmer will be returning to appraise your quilts. Having a quilt appraised is a good idea for insurance purposes and if you are going to send it to a show. . Limit two quilts per person. Call to reserve time. 1/2 hour per quilt. $40 for written appraisal, $20 for Verbal.
Quilt For A Cure Day — Saturday, September 27, 2008 10-4 This is our annual fundraiser for breast cancer research! Everyone’s help is requested! Come for the day, donate a quilt block or two for the auction, donate a finished item for the Silent Auction, participate in the fabric swap, bid in the auctions, or make a purchase that day!!! Midnight Madness
Join us for an evening of fun, food, laughter, and sewing! These are great evenings to work on or finish projects, meet other sewers, and get some inspiration. We “lock” you in from 6 pm to midnight (although we’ve been known to “let you out” if you get tired earlier!) You bring your own sewing machine and projects with a munchie to share. We provide the pizza. Doorprizes!
