Super Bowl Sunday Event - Sunday, February 5, 2012 from Noon to 4 pm. Looking for a way to "pass" the afternoon before the big game???? Think about joining us as we "kick-off" a great afternoon of fun, sewing, events, and specials! Be a "Tailgater" - first 15 people to call can come sew for the afternoon for FREE! Be a "Fan" - Check out our schedule of specials and stop by the store to shop that day!

Schedule of Events:

Kick off Sale - Noon to 1 pm: All sports themed fabrics are on sale 25% off.

First Half Sale - Noon to 2 pm: Quarterback Sale: 25% off all patterns; Defensive Lineman Sale: 25% off all striped fabrics; Safeties Sale - 25% off all safety equipment (thimbles, klutz gloves, machine needle guards, etc.)

Second Half Sale - 2 pm to 4 pm: Full Back Sale: 25% off all extra-wide backings; Line Backers Sale: 25% off all rulers with lines; Tight Ends Sale: 25% off when you buy all the fabric left on a bolt.

Half Time Show: Starts at 1:30 pm. Join us for some fun challenges to win special prizes or instant savings. Here's a few we've come up with so far....popcorn eating contest, bolt obstacle course, fat quarter toss, etc.

Valentine's Day Speed Dating Event...with sewing machines! Saturday, February 11, 2012 1pm to 3:30 pm

Have you been thinking about a new sewing machine? Looking for the right sewing machine for you? One that will give you hours of enjoyment and just coax the ooohhs and aaaahhs out of you? One that you can love and look forward to many happy years together? One that will sit by your side and be happy for all the projects you'd like to do? Well, here's the plan!!! Join us for two hours to try out 12 different machines. You'll have 10 minutes on each machine to see how it sews, how easy it is to select stitches, how accessory feet work on it, see how the built in walking foot gives you greater control, all while making a Valentine's Day Placement!

Call the store to reserve your seat. Cost is $10 for the supplies to make the placemat. Find THE machine you'd like to bring home? We'll double the placemat fee and take that off the asking price. Space is limited to 12 people.

Note: Not all machines in this speed dating event are new...some are previously enjoyed (what a fool she was to let it go!!!). Previously enjoyed machines have many good years left in them and have outstanding loyalty! While they may not be the best "lookers", they have great personalities!!!!

One lucky "couple" will win a Dream Class of their choosing! This is going to be a FUN afternoon!

We have an exciting new Block of the Month program beginning featuring Stonehenge fabrics. The quilt features twelve 12” blocks with additional log cabin blocks to complete the pattern. Your choice of bright or neutral fabrics. (Stop by the store to see posters of each colorway) Monthly costs are $14.95 which includes all the fabric for the borders and setting blocks as well as the directions and fabric for the monthly block. This makes a queen sized quilt. A king size is available at an additional cost. Directions suggest using Marti Michell’s Perfect Patchwork Templates, which will be available for purchase in our store.

Projects start out as WHIMMS (Works Hidden In My Mind).

When you make a purchase of pattern and fabric, you have a PIG (Project In a Grocery bag).

At this time it may also be a brazen HSY (Haven't Started Yet).

Once you start, it is a WIP (Work In Progress).

A WIP is worked on until completion or until you lose interest and set it aside. Then its a UFO (UnFinished Object).

When you are encouraged by your quilty friends to FIUP (Finish It UP), you can loudly shout TGIF (Thank God It's Finished)!!

The collection of fabrics you use to complete your project is your STASH (Special Treasures All Secretly Hidden).

Occasionally you'll need random SEX (a Stash Enhancing eXperience). You can do this on a FART (Fabric Acquisition Road Trip).

And the final most important thing is to leave a SABLE (Stash Accumulation Beyond Life Expectancy) to your fabric-loving heirs.
