Breast Cancer research!

This is our annual event to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. We have had wonderful days in the past and we expect no less this year! Pre-register by September 18 to guarantee a registration goodie bag.* Registration is $20. There are lots of ways you can join in the fun! Participate in the Fabric Swap, donate a block or two for the Block Auction, donate a finished quilt related item for the Silent Auction, stop by that day to bid in the auctions, sign up for a door prize, share an edible goodie, make a purchase (that quilt back and batting for the quilt you’re finishing are great to do that day!), or partake of the entertainment—all proceeds from the registrations, block auction and live auctions plus 10% of the day’s sales are donated!

New this year, Mimi’s Consignment Shop will be joining in our event with a fashion show and a donation of 10% of their day’s sales!! So be sure to walk two doors down to check out their shop! White Rug will also be donating 10% of their day's sales. Be sure to check out their Sidewalk Sale that day!

3:30 – 5:00 Socializing and shopping!! Thanks for coming!!!! (10% of the day’s sales are also donated, sorry no other discounts honored that day.)

*Late registrations are accepted and welcomed. Registration bags will be available on a first come first serve basis for late registrants.

 What you can do before September 25th :

Mystery Quilt Project – Interested in giving this a try?  You should participate in the Fabric Swap.  Purchase your other needed supplies listed on the reverse.

Fabric Swap – Prepare 12 bags (plastic sandwich bags work great) with 8 different 5” squares in each bag (2 pink, 2 dark brown, 2 beige, 2 other). (Approx 8 fat quarters.  However, each bag does not need to have the same 8 fabrics, just 8 different ones. So this is a great way to use up leftovers!  Quilt Shop Quality fabric please.)  Place these plastic bags in a small shopping bag with handles and your name clearly marked on the outside.  Drop this off at Quilts & Treasures by September 22.  On Saturday, you will receive 12 different plastic bags in your shopping bag containing hopefully 96 different fabrics.  (Duplications do happen!!)

Block Auction – Ever made a quilt block and then decided you didn’t like it or changed the fabrics in it?  Ever made 13 blocks when you only had to make 12?  Search through your unfinished projects and find these loners.  Or make some interesting blocks specifically for this auction.  What fun we have auctioning them off!  Please drop off blocks by September 22.  It helps us to have them organized and ready to go!!

Silent Auction – This year any quilt tops or finished quilts donated will be on display the week before the Quilt For A Cure Day.  They will be in a Silent Auction.  Current bid price will be posted by each quilt.  To make a bid, go to the front desk.  ALL proceeds will be donated.  Bidding increments of $2.00.  Why not make a few blocks of your favorite pattern and finish them into a wall hanging to donate?  Please deliver these to the store by Sept 18th .
